Day #4: ‘Ma’
a connection of cells,
within her she creates.
the force she carries within her,
instructs the intricate movement and formation of cell clusters.
she cushions new life even before it’s formative beginnings,
she watches over its growth and development.
her womb, a barrier from the cruel world,
away from pain, noise and destruction.
she absorbs the misery of the world,
lets it roll down through her tears to shield it from hurt.
she knows not of the colour of its eyes,
nor the shape of its nose.
she knows not of its complexion,
nor of its abilities.
but in her heart is the purest form of love,
exceeding all human expectation and limitation.
a love beyond skylines,
a love of greater vastness than all the universes combined could ever bear.
she holds within her the power to breathe life into mighty kings and queens,
a creation of sorts, both a blessing and a curse.
how could she love one she knows not of so fondly,
tender is her heart and soul.
she endures the greatest agony known to mankind,
she bares suffering so a new life can be born.
she imparts her beauty, mind and soul;
she tucks in a little piece of character and strength before presenting it to the world.
she is home,
and she is love.
Love takes various forms.
